On Jul 7, 2007, RME Filters received its ISO 9001:2000 registration from United Registrar Services, LLC.
This registration reflects RME Filters' steadfast commitment to quality across
our full range of filter and microwave device manufacturing services
through a dedicated program of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
The ISO 9000 series of international quality standards were introduced in 1987. Since then, ISO 9001, 9002 & 9003 have been adopted by over 250,000 companies (25,000 in the U.S.) who have successfully registered and been independently certified as meeting the ISO requirements. ISO 9001 is the most comprehensive of the standards as it covers product design, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, marketing and sales. The U.S. list of ISO companies is growing rapidly as the need to compete in the world's marketplace is forcing more and more U.S. companies to seek international acceptance of their products and services. The ISO quality standards are presently recognized in over 80 countries across the world.
To qualify for registration a company must record the policies and procedures that are instrumental in
producing and delivering their products and services consistently against customers’ requirements.
The company must demonstrate that it has addressed all areas of the standard and has documented procedures to ensure each area is monitored and controlled.
A third party Quality Registrar is required to conduct on-site reviews and assess the company.
Regular audits are carried out to make sure that standards do not decline and registration must be fully reviewed every three years.
